I was up a little on the scale today but I expected it. We were gone most of the day so I didn't drink as much water as I usually do. I guess the food I ate would have something to do with it too:) I woke up with a nice crease down my cheek that finally went away about 1:00.
It has been a pleasant, quiet day today. Nice! Right now my hubby is gone and my daughter and grandson are gone. Hubby and I are headed to visit my little sister and eat KFC later. Yummy!
Yesterday we went to our favorite Mexican Restaurant for Linner (lunch/dinner) and then shopping. I really want to buy some new clothes, but I want to wait and see if I can get smaller first. We will see. On the way home we went to the Fro Yo place to get sugar free yogurt. I explained to my husband, it isn't like it really tastes that great, it is about going somewhere and having a treat. I truly do just get a teeny bit of the yogurt and put slivered almonds on it. For both of our yogurts it was 2.97, so it is a very cheap, fun treat. At Fro Yo you actually pay by the pound. You serve yourself and then there are tons of toppings. That is why I have the ability to just buy a tiny bit.
For linner I had a chicken chimichanga and shredded beef burrito. I also ate a LOT of chips/salsa. I give 1/2 the burrito to my husband and just eat the meat out of the middle. The chimi is bad just because of the tortilla. I am sure calorie wise it is very bad! I don't eat very much rice at all. Thank goodness my husband doesn't get frustrated with paying for a full meal and watching a huge part of it left on the table.
I wore a tank and skirt shopping yesterday. I haven't worn a skirt anywhere but in Hawaii for YEARS!!! My thighs are still dimply but my calves look a ton better. Better than when I owned the gym and worked out 4 days a week. I really believe it is the fat going bye-bye. I would be happy to say goodbye to all of my dimples, but the one on my cheek!
I was too cheap to buy the coconut flour yesterday. How many times am I going to be too cheap and then regret it. I did get another flavor of Nature's Hollow jam. I think it was called Mountain Berry. It is yummy, there are whole blueberries in there. I bought Raspberry first and I think it is still my favorite. Tonight is grocery shopping for the week so I AM going to get the coconut flour. I can't wait to try the bread. If you don't follow the 24/7 low carb blog, she had a great recipe for egg/sausage muffins that look really good! They had a little coconut flour, but mostly eggs, sausage, green chilis.
I have said this before, but here I go again....I think you have to totally detox your body of sugar before you can be successful on this plan. I really believe that it isn't the kind of thing you dabble in. I also think at the end of the day if you are eating more than the 15/6 the calories really do come in to play. What I mean is that if you eat 20/8 and have eaten a boat load of calories, you haven't done what Jorge said was optimal for the insulin level to burn the fat, so you won't lose weight. Obviously I have done way more on many days, but I go back to my 15/6 right away. Just thinking out loud in a quiet house. Hubby is home, time to head to KFC!!!
Blessings and happy scales.
Wow, I am totally afraid to go to a Mexican restaurant, lol! I'm sure I would do OK, it's just the idea of it. You know, Key, what you say about eating 15/6 does make a lot of sense, until you get very close to goal. Then 15/6 doesn't work so much if you eat a lot of calories. I've been playing around with it for the last 5 months, and I can't just eat to 15/6, because my fats are too high - my calories get too high. Otherwise I'd be done, because I've only ate over sugar or carb count a few days.
ReplyDeleteYour new pic is super cute!!! You are disciplined to be able to order the chimi and only eat the insides, the fried tortilla is sooo yummy. Although I think I could pass it up now, last week we ate fried tacos at my in-laws I didn't think it would be a big deal since we haven't eaten them in two years...bad bad bad. The fried tortillla shells sat like lead in my tummy and I felt crappy the rest of the night and the whole next day. Anyway, you are doing awesome have you tried putting lemon in your water to help you drink more? That is one of my favorite things to do in the summer. Have a great day!

You look great. following your posts I can see the changes you have made in your weight.
Keep it up,,, I hope to do better too. As I mentioned in someones blog I'm 74 soon to be 75.
But since my hair is just starting to get some gray in it no one thinks I'm that "old" When my Mom was my age she had beautiful snow white hair.
My main problem is to get some weight off my son as it is getting harder to move him around.
Hope to see some more pictures of your success. I enjoy your beautiful smile.
Kay, your picture looks great!! I agree with you that I think you have to detox on the sugar to do this plan. However, I do use a lot of stevia in my ice tea and coffee. So even though basically the only sugar I eat (that's not in regular veggies and stuff) is the dark chocolate, BUT I still need things to taste sweet with the stevia.
ReplyDeleteMan, I couldn't believe the comments on the FB page the last few days...
