Life is good, even though I'm gaining:(

Yesterday was a fun day with my husband shopping, and then dinner with the twins. My daughter was actually fun, smiled at me a few times....and said "thank you"!!! Wow!!! My son with the big smile is always joyful, or at least 99% of the time....he just doesn't like to work very hard. He is working at a Snap Fitness and LOVING it. It is a great fit for him:) Hopefully this will be a new trend. 24 years old! They were actually 12 minutes apart and almost 2 full lbs different in size. Memories:)
My grand daughter came home with us to spend the night. We are meeting up with Taryn and my oldest Grant to go to The Hunger Games again today. She is 12, has read all the books, and has already seen the movie once. Her Dad is 32 and read the books in 3 days and can't wait to see the movie. I tell you, it crosses all age barriers and is very entertaining.
We went to Macy's yesterday and I SCORED some great deals. I have some clothes that will make me think Spring! Woot....even though there was about 2 inches of snow on the ground when we went to dinner last night. Ugh:(
I am gearing myself up for getting back on track. Honestly it is only max 3 lbs, but it feels like 10! Misery does love company, so seeing others are struggling a bit, makes the journey easier. I love the camaraderie that we share. Thank you all:) French fries twice yesterday is not going to get me where I want to be!
Blessings and Happy scales!

  3. Sounds like you had such a good time at dinner! I love when I go out with my family and love it even more when EVERYONE is in a good mood. Sometimes that is hard to have happen! The Hunger games series was really good and not only for girls. Three of my boys loved the series as well! Plus I got two of my nephews to read it too. They all really enjoyed the story. We also thought the movie was well done!

    1. You know, I liked the movie but the concept freaked me out! It felt like a modern version of a combination of the era of coliseum fighting and the tyranny of the n*zis. I know it's supposed to end good, but that aspect still bothered me.

    2. I know what you mean, but I think it is supposed to bother you! Don't want to give anything away, but the districts in the story also think its horrible and barbaric and that is part of the storyline as the books continue.

    3. I haven't read the books so I'm glad you're not saying too much. I do have high hopes for the rest of the story since everyone promises me a good follow through to the story. I just personally had a hard time getting past my revulsion of the storyline to enjoy the movie as much as I could have. I went to see the movie not knowing what it was about, so every aspect of my being was shocked and horrified while watching it and began to understand what it was about. This is one movie where I would have preferred to know the storyline beforehand so that I wouldn't have been so shocked and upset.

    4. I want the books to bother everyone that thinks government is getting too big! I was sickened and cried when the train pulls into the station:(

  7. Love the picture of you and your children you look so happy. I am hoping to get to wear some spring clothes soon but we are still having cold rainy weather. I have not seen the hunger games yet but I have heard some good reviews about it.
