I know, I desperately need a pedicure! |
134.5, Have I weighed that since I first met my husband? Nope:) Would I rather have less stress and weigh a little more? Yep!
We are now officially empty nesters again. My daughter and grandson left this morning for Georgia and a new life. I will miss them, but they have my heart! I had family dinner last night and it was chaotic.Kayce's good friends came with their 2 children ages 3 and 1. My sister brought her 2 grandchildren ages 3 and 18 months, Then Karson, 2 and my grandson Cy, 4. That was a lot of kids:) It was fun, but the quiet today hasn't been too bad yet.
I made a spiral ham, baked beans and mac and cheese, salad with eggs, tomato and olives (that's new for me) and my sister brought rolls. I had a roll with ham and a couple of bites of beans before I realized I was eating solid sugar and some salad! There's still one piece of caramel apple pie staring at me. I was too wound up to eat! Maybe that's a good thing?
This morning I made ham, spinach, tomato and cheese scrambled eggs. They were yummy...actually that was lunch! For breakfast I had a leftover pork chop and gravy on a piece of bread. My days are going to become more and more confused with the quiet around here.
I think I am still too tan:( |
With Thanksgiving on the way I am thinking about all of the yummy food that we will have to decide if we want to eat it or not. Katie had asked about stuffing and whether anyone will eat it? I will, I actually add spinach to mine so I feel like it is a little healthier. You really can't taste the spinach, but I could see if you were having a big crowd, how the green would be a turn off!
Christmas goodies are going to be another matter. We all have to keep each other strong! I don't care if I lose any more weight, but I don't want to gain 5 lbs either.
Karson set to go! |
A final note...we had our windows cleaned last weekend thinking we would be good to go until the spring. It snowed yesterday, hard and blowing, today is clear and very windy so all of the moisture is dried in spots all over the windows:( Bummer! It has been a beautiful sunny day. My daughter has been gone about 6 hours, I wonder where they are?
Blessings and Happy Scales!
I don't think you look too tan, enjoy it while you have it. Your breakfast and lunch sounded delish. I hope Kaycee and Karson have a safe trip, it will probably be nice for them to leave the cold for the South. I did not like our snow yesterday, but today was beautiful. Have a wonderful rest of your weekend :)
ReplyDeleteWow you really had a bunch over there huh? I am sure you will enjoy the quiet time, but then its gets boring at times. your food sounded great today.
ReplyDeleteHave a good day tomorrow :-)
I don't think you look too tan, either. You look sunny! We need that, with the snow. blah.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Kay! You are doing awesome!!!
I haven't been eating enough more sugar to notice a difference in my appetite. But in the past, if I ate more sugar or more carbs than usual I would feel hungrier, definitely!
I really enjoyed the bites of roll on Friday. I haven't missed bread much at all- I have good replacements. But I wanted to be able to eat whatever I want, so I did! And didn't regret it that day OR the next, so I'm a happy mama!
Wow yesterday sounded crazy with all the little ones but I am sure you enjoyed every minute of it. I will keep Kayce and Karsen in my prayers for safe travel. I dont know how I would handle my little granddaughter leaving me. I just enjoy her so much. I am really enjoying pinterest too and I have pinned a few not so BFC desserts too but I am sure we can learn to make them more BFC friendly.
ReplyDeleteGood morning Kay!
ReplyDeleteWOw! Sounds like your house was a buzzing with lots of little ones & activity. Your dinner sounded yummy (although I am just not a fan of the baked bean..lol) an Im sure that time with your daughter & grandson & the rest of the gang was memorable. Wehn you wrote "I onder where they are" it made me realize something that my mother has told me for years....no matter how old our kids are, we will always worry about them & their safety. My oldest daughter (15, almost 16) is dating now (a 17 yr old boy) and I worry like crazy about the whole dating experience & then her driving...oy!! Not ready for that!!!! Theres a whole new category of worrying. I hope that your stress resolves. Get back to your zumba & go get those toes pedicured pronto!!!! You deserve some pampering! (Btw, they dont look bad at all. Just saying that so you can go & treat yourself)
Love & hugs to you!
Sherri
Wow Kay you are doing so well on the weight loss! Congrats! Sorry there is so much stress involved though. Your house sounds like it already went through a Thanksgiving dinner with all the relatives, just without the turkey! It's a lot of work to have that many over, but will be another priceless memory for you to store. Your daughter sure is moving far away!! One of my best friends lives down in Marietta, Georgia! It's a beautiful state with very friendly folks.
ReplyDeleteI need to exercise, too. That's the real reason why I'm stuck where I am and why I'm not losing more inches, for sure. Gotta get to the gym!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Kay! Hope everyone got to where they are going safe and sound. I know your house will be quiet now. How is Kristi doing? I hope she is on the road to recovery. Hugs to you from me!
