I thought I was thin here:) |
I decided that my fear of triggers when eating a dark chocolate or ice cream are tamed. I have had the Clemmy O's and haven't craved real ice cream, so today I bought some dark chocolate. I am not sure it tastes very good, but it is chocolate. I couldn't find the ghiradelli, so I got endangered species. I also got a think thin crunch bar that is 3 sugars and 16 carbs for the whole bar. It is chocolate covered nuts and it is an A+. I only ate 2 little bites, I plan to have bites so it is barely countable. 1 square of the chocolate seems plenty. Has any one tried to melt it?
We had KFC for lunch today. Yummy....
I have to watch Big Brother now, so...Blessings and happy scales:)

Your pictures look beautiful! I haven't been able to find the clemmy o's yet, but I will keep trying. The first time I tried the dark chocolate I didn't know if I liked it either. But I kept trying it every day and it grew on me. Now I love it. I have not tried the think thin bars cause they have sugar alcohols in it and that counts as part of the carbs so it comes to like 2 servings of carbs per bar. So I'm sure by just doing bites it won't even matter.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day tomorrow. :-)
Beautiful pictures! It took awhile for dark chocolate to grow on me, but now I love it...I find it satisfys my sweet tooth very quickly. I've tried the think thin protein bars the peanut butter one is my favorite and think thin bites but not the crunch. I think it's ok to have stuff like that as long as you figure it into your carbs for the day.
ReplyDeleteOh those are beautiful pictures! ;)
ReplyDeleteI gotta have my dark chocolate, nearly every day. LOL. It definitely grows on you. I actually don't eat any of the chocolate sweetened with malitol, because I don't want to go back to having to have my chocolate taste sweet. I do want for a bit more variety sometimes, but then I make cookies or something and just keep them separate experiences. I did break down and buy a sugar free chili pepper chocolate I found while staying at my sister's house, and that was soo yummy.
I do sometimes melt the chocolate bars and make peanut butter cups. YUM! :)
Hi Kay. Love the photos. I am a big dark chocolate fan, and I swear I used to think it tasted like dirt. My favorite is the green and black organic, 85%. I used to find it at whole foods, target and CVS, but lately I can't find it anywhere. So now I buy the Ghiradelli squares. I ordered them right from Ghiradelli. I like the individual portions, so I only have 1 0r 2 squares. I have melted the large bars in the microwave, and added wither chopped madacadamia nuts and/ or walnuts. I drop on a cookie sheet lined with wax paper, sprinkle with a few grains of fancy sea salt and stick in the fridge until hardened. I love them, and you reminded me that I haven't made them in awhile. I think I will and I'll take pictures and put them on my blog sometime this week. Take care.
ReplyDeleteKay, how fun! We watched fireworks there are last night in Oahu last year, such a neat place. So excited for you!
ReplyDeleteIt took me a long time to like the chocolate too, that is why I reviewed like a zillion of them on my blog... to find a good one! ;-) The Ghirardelli has turned out to be great, I love it now. Plus it is the cheapest one (except for the trader joes bars) and I find it at Target.
