I went to Olive Garden with a dear friend today. What do you get at Olive Garden that fits the BFC plan? Well even though I am only about 16 days in, I made my best effort and had pizza and the zuppa tuscana soup. I did get a nutritional fact sheet from the waiter. The soup turns out not to be too bad as far as carbs go. The fact sheet does not list sugar content. The pizza, another story. I did only eat 2 complete pieces and had the topping off a 3rd piece. Compared to my usual of 2 bowls of soup, 4 breadsticks and Chicken Parm.....I saved a boat load of calories and carbs. I just had some raspberries and cool whip for dessert. It wasn't too bad of a day.
I did not work out today which was my intention. I did chase a 17 month old around for 3 hours while babysitting my grandson:)
Life is good and happy at Kay's house!
Hi Kay, I just added your blog to my list - so hopefully we can get some more people over here. Leave a comment with your blog address on mine too - OK?
ReplyDeleteat Olive Garden, I saw Jorge post one time that if you want pizza to just eat off the toppings and leave the crust.
I have an Motorola droid X phone and I use this program called Calorie Counter. It's great - you can look up all kinds of foods and even lots of restaurants. the icon looks like a yellow scale with feet prints on it.
That really helps me a lot when I am out.
Have a great day :-)
Thank you:) I will see if I can find a similar app on my phone. I appreciate your blog a lot! It gives me hope!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Kay! Welcome to Blogger land! SOunds like you are doing great so far. What is your total weight loss? Keep on going and you will get there in no time! Feel free to visit my blog too. I love to have new friends and we have a wonderful group of BFC girlfriends. I am doing a combination of Weight Watchers while watching my sugars & carbs (BFC) its a little challenging to do both, but my sister and I have been doing WW together and I just cant bail out on her and it is actually working for me! Ive lost 19# since Dec 1 2010, and a total of 24# since last March. I am a slow & steady kind of girl but thats ok with me. Slow and steady does always win the race...or at least it always finishes!!! :) Best of luck! Sherri
ReplyDeletep.s Be sure to visit Ambers blog too. Shes awesome and always posts good things to read.
