My sister and Karson |
I am still staying under 134 on my weight. That makes me happy! I did go to Zumba yesterday and I do plan to go tomorrow. I'm sure being consistent would help to even potentially lose! I'm still not sure what I want to do about that, I feel like I am at a good place and I can eat pretty much whatever I want to eat. That is minus sugar of course. I am joining Amber in tracking on myfitnesspal. It is fun actually to see where I am every day. Thank goodness it is has a lot of restaurants on there because I swear I have eaten out 5 out of the last 7 days. Today was Boston's ultimate pepperoni pizza. I had the individual size and piled all of the toppings on 2 crusts. It was yummy!
I made pancakes with carbquick last night. Yuck, barf, gross. I think that it was not so much the pancakes, but when I melted a whole stick of butter to put in there, all I could think of was how many calories that it had. I ate 2 dollar size Krusteaz instead and dipped it in my Joseph's maple syrup. I LOVED the syrup!!! I used so little that I had no tummy issues. Win/win! I believe that eating a "little" bit of something that tastes good is way better than eating a lot of bit of something that tastes bad, but is allowable. There are tons of recipes on the carbquick box and I know the next thing I make will taste better. It is very similar to Bisquick. Next to try is the Almond pancakes. That flour was so expensive I didn't want to use it all on serving 4 people. We had sausage links too...yummy!
There is so much information on TV right now about what to eat/what not to eat. Is anyone else watching The Revolution show? They show women over the course of 5 months and their transformation. It is quite amazing really! However you could go crazy if you tried to follow everything out there. We all walk to the beat of our own drummer right? As long as we take into account the basics. Yesterday's Dr. Oz suggested several different supplements to take for different things???
Best of BFC to everyone!
How fun! I'm glad you're having a great time. I've never heard of The Revolution show. What channel is it on?
ReplyDeleteIt is on ABC, it took the place of One Life To Live, my soap I had watched forever!!! The show is new, but they must have started taping the people months ago. They start on Monday's and by Friday's show 5 months have passed. There has been some amazing weight loss. Generally about 10-12 lbs a month. I think the gal last week lost over 60 lbs in 5 months. Of course they have a lot of help. Ty Pennington is one of the hosts. I like it!
DeleteLove the photos Kay. Karson is adorable. I have not tried the Carbquick, but I love the almond flour pancakes. They are so good, but there are alot of calories. I think that Dr. Oz is starting to get too complicated. So many things he is recommending these days. I need simplicity!! Sending hugs to you from me!
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of The Revolution show either. I do agree though that we could drive ourselves insane with all the different diet hypes out there. The BFC is the LONGEST I've ever done any diet. I think once you find out what things you like to eat that you CAN eat without problems, then stick with it!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you're having a good time with your daughter and grandson!
Also, thank you for your nice comments on my blog. They really helped when I was feeling kind of low.
Kay - Thanks for leaving a message on my page. I am such a sugaraholic! I just need to take the leap and am finding 100 (lazy) reasons that are holding me back.
ReplyDeleteYou look great in the picture and that grandson sure is cute too!
Dana
Hi Kay - it sounds like you need calgon to take you away. Thats too bad about the carbquick. I was hoping for thumbs up. Great about your sis too.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day :-)
Hopefully the next recipe will be good. That's a lot of butter for one recipe. LOL! I really like almond pancakes - I actually have almond muffins in the oven as we speak - yum! I had the flax pancakes this morning, though, and they were really yummy. I haven't tried the joseph's syrup, though. I just eat them without syrup.
ReplyDeleteI think I tried the QuickCarb back years ago with Atkins. It had Sucrlose and I remember it being bad then too. So glad you are logging too! Id love to be in the 130s with you and I think this is the only way possible for me. Funny how stuff sneaks up or you forget unless you are tracking!
ReplyDeleteI watched Dr. Oz supplement belly show too...while I think there was some great info on there about reducing stress and LOVED the meditation tips...right up my alley :)
ReplyDeleteYou've hit that sweet place with you weight... and you have one darling grandson.
ReplyDeleteNote to self: don't eat carbquick pancakes! hahahaha! I have some soy flour that I want to use to make some pancakes. Anyone ever tried a recipe with soy flour instead of almond flour or the like? Kay, you are rocking the weight loss and maintenance. This shows me that it is possible!!!
