Jorge's new question about eating breakfast?

http://www.jillianmichaels.com/lose-weight/bad-fitness-habits.aspx?xid=aol_jm-diet_5_20120213_&aolcat=EFG&icid=maing-grid7%7Cmain5%7Cdl19%7Csec1_lnk3%26pLid%3D136535#/slide-2

Just a quick post to say that if Jorge decides that working out on an empty stomach is a good thing, I am going to start having fruit with every meal:) Just saying!
Thanks for all of your kind words. I did reach out to my ex step daughter, it felt good. I also called my mother, she was her usual non caring self.
Sis and hubs are stuck at 23 lbs each. They are going to start walking. She was so excited because on Valentine's day that bagged an idea to go to Dairy Queen. It felt powerful to her.
I went out to lunch 4 days in a row and I didn't gain any weight. In fact at 133.3 this AM. I really hope and pray this is a forever thing.
I did Zumba this morning...2 times in 1 week! Miracles happen. Life goes on....

Please Lord, Let me be like this women in 30 years:)
My JoAnn:) 3 1/2 hours at The Olive Garden yesterday. 85 and sparkling!

  1. HI Kay, First I love the picture. You both look so beautiful.
You already know how I feel about the breakfast thing right? I feel it is very important to eat a good breakfast, especially when trying to lose weight.
    Have a great day :-)

    1. Thank you! It is a good feeling to walk through a restaurant 4x to go to the bathroom and feel slim and trim, well better than I was last year!

  2. I am commenting on my own self:) I just had my first flax muffin! I added 1 tsp of Joseph's Maple syrup and a small amount of walnuts. I cooked it in a bowl instead of a cup, so it may have been a little too done. It was yummy:) OMG, I can finally have my "coffee cake" type treat. I still haven't tried the carb quick or almond flour. Someone said to put the flax in the freezer or the fridge after opening? Is that true? The Joseph's syrup sure was thick. I didn't taste it, but it sure looks like real syrup. Wow! I bought Clemmy's over a week ago and haven't even gotten into that yet??? I guess I am not home enough? Where did the slug go;)

  3. you are so funny! I don't think that working out on an empty stomach is necessarily a bad thing. We need to listen to our bodies - what's right for you and me might be different. I don't personally like to eat before working out - it weighs me down and I work less than I do while empty.

I am proud of you and your weight loss- you look so great, and I'm sure you will be doing great like your friend!

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I had some sort of security issue yesterday. I'm glad I have it fixed now. Kind of weird! anyhow I'll talk to you later! D

    1. The link was actually to Jillian Michaels on work out myths. Even a couple of nuts or a piece of cheese is better than eating nothing. I don't eat much at all, but if I don't eat anything, I can barely make it through the workout not to mention how dizzy I get. We are all different, but I believe in some protein before workouts. JMHO

    2. I have actually watched that slideshow before - I'm a HUGE Jillian Michaels fan. :) I don't like to work out when I'm actually physically hungry, that does bother me, but I don't make it a point to eat beforehand, either.

  4. I like the Josephs Maple Syrup...I don't have it often but when I get into the "oh my gosh, I need my maple oatmeal", it helps :) I don't think that working out on an empty stomach is nessesarily bad, I tend to get pukey if I eat and go workout. Usually, if I am working out first thing in the morning, I will go do it with a little something in my stomach, then come back and eat a bigger breakfast. I am not a fan of skipping breakfast AT ALL! I am not saying you need to have the huge eggs/bacon/toast thing, but your body needs a little something to wake up the metabolism.

  5. Love your photo. I have to say I believe in a good breakfast too. Although some mornings, like today, it is getting late, and I want to work out and don't want to eat before. So I guess on those days, I am eating my breakfast later...it's like a brunch. Sending love and hugs, and good job reaching out to those family members. You did the right thing, even if your mom acts indifferent!

  7. There is sure a lot of info in the 'weight loss' world. I agree with Dawn-whatever is best for the individual.
Reaching out to others is generally a good thing, even if it doesn't turn out the way we would like...you'll know when to back off.
I'm so happy you have a good friend in your life like JoAnn...you both sparkle.

  8. Jorge has always said exercise on an empty stomach, at least the last 2.5 years (who knows before that). I think meal skipping is okay once youve lost the weight and are over all your food issues. But many of Jorge's ladies are obese and skipping meals while you are still struggling with so much stuff in your head, that wont work I think. That is just my opinion though.
