Beautiful sunshine and I got my Kindle Fire:)

Woo hoo!!!
My husband wanted to take a picture of how excited I was to get my Kindle:) It was a killer deal because I got the 50.00 Walmart card too. I really, really have had fun setting it up and adding books. It is not inexpensive though. I LOVE Vince Flynn books and he has a new one out today. Even on the Kindle it is 14.99:(
Today is the first Tuesday of the month so I met my gym friends at the pizza place. I had my usual canadian bacon/pepperoni pizza and I just put all the toppings on 2 crusts. Yummy! Tonight I have Bunko. The hostess has been attempting to do BFC type food, so hopefully there will be some fun low sugar things there.
I got some new things for my kitchen to add color....
I LOVE this color of blue, it reminds me of the ocean. It was time for dishtowels and dishrags too, even new pot holders. Woot! I love TJ Maxx, we are supposed to get a Marshall's here soon. I just hope the dish rags and dish towels don't fall apart after I wash them!
When I was in Georgia I feel in love with my son in law's best friend that was starting Ranger school the Sunday that I left. 1 in 7 men make it through. He made it through 7 of 62 days. I am so bummed. I prayed so hard for him to make it through the first 3 days (the worst) and then didn't think of him as often. Out of sight, out of mind. I wish so badly that I wouldn't have "ceased" adding him to my daily thoughts. A reminder to never forget those that need our prayers or special thoughts. No matter how much time passes. Pattie, still thinking of you!
You are all so special and I have plenty of time to say happy thoughts for all of you.
Patties blog about adding just a minute of exercise really hit home with me. I sent myself an email with the information. Sadly I have become very sedentary again and I hate that about myself. Ugh!!!
I will go to Zumba tomorrow...hold me accountable:)
Blessings and happy scales...

  4. I don't use myfitnesspal on my kindle much, but it's nice to have it there for when I'm not at my laptop. You can download a free app every day from the kindle store, too, if you are interested in that. I also have been checking books out from my library onto my Kindle. Now that's neat! Although my library is new at the digital download thing, so we don't have a lot of choices. You could look into that, too.

  5. Yay, you got your Kindle!! And new kitchen stuff too. Congrats. I wanted to ask you about the almond flour you bought recently. I had bought the Bob's Red mill kind and it looked like the coconut flour. All fluffy and light in texture. Then I saw another brand on Netrition and I bought that. It is brown, which I found is because the almonds aren't peeled. It got great reviews, and I've only made pancakes with it. The brand is called NOW, and it says natural, unblanced almond flour. For some reason I just don't think the baked goods will be as good, although I imagine the almond skin is good for you. Just wondering! Sending hugs and lot of love and thanks for all those positive thoughts! XO

  7. Kay, I love love my Kindle Fire too. I decided to join the amazon prime which I get to loan a book a month and free shipping, it also offers movie streaming which I have never used. It cost $70 for the year not to bad. I love those colors too. We have TJ Maxx, Ross and Marshals which I really like you can get some great stuff for the house for a great price.
