I have had a wonderful week/few days. The night before my birthday I went with my HS friends to a restaurant on the river. It was a beautiful evening and a wonderful night. For those of you that are my facebook friends, sorry about having to look at the pictures twice!
I have been doing a lot of shopping for warm clothes to take to Georgia. I was thinking that I was going to have to buy a bigger size short so I wouldn't have my chub roll, but I found some today that fit pretty darn perfect. Kut jeans, nice fit. Now if I could suck my cellulite out of my legs, arms, and belly.....

It was interesting at dinner because my friend who I have always thought was the most beautiful, was really discouraged and saddened by her body. I was shocked, really? You are beautiful....and then I thought of how hard on myself that I am. I am NOT saying that I am beautiful by any means, I am saying this is me, I am blessed....get over myself!!! I will get back to my ideal weight of 135 again, someday....but not tomorrow.
My birthday day was spent with my oldest son and grandson. He was his usual talkative self, NOT!!! Hubby and I went shopping without them 1/2 way through the day, I needed a break from starting conversations. Then my other 2 kids and Mom came over for pizza and it ended up being a wonderful evening. Life is interesting as I get older!
Hubby and I went shopping for last minute things today and we had to get Kansas City bacon and pepperoni sticks for me to take to GA. I found out the pepperoni sticks are made onsite and have a teeny bit of sugar in 100 lbs. Cool....now if I can limit myself on eating them once I get there. "Free for all food" is not going to do my body/self esteem any favors!
My husband asked why I was so happy today? What a good question! I feel like I am letting go of things I can't change immediately, and counting my Blessings for the things that don't need changed today. Phew....is this part of getting older and wiser?
You look great Kay. Love the sweater. Hope you had a wonderful birthday and have a great time in GA.
ReplyDeleteYou look beautiful as always. I know what you mean about being hard on ourselves. I am the same way. As I get older I find so many things I hate. But like I say - just put your clothes back on and look again. LOL I'm glad you had a nice birthday. :-)
ReplyDeleteYou are looking great, Kay! I am glad you had a wonderful birthday, my friend..
