Water toffee:( |
So my excuse for not going to Zumba? I was too tired because we spent about 8 hours in the car??? I have to say I slept until almost 9:00 and it felt really good.
I know that each day will bring challenges, I know I have been really good and strong most of the time, I know that there are things that I can have around and things that I simply can't. I am good with it. I will get back on track and this sugar high will eventually be a blip.
Lifetime....today is a new day. I am doing great today, now that I threw the toffee away!
My twin son came over today and reaffirmed my decision to have his twin sister live with her dad. It feels good when I have my other kids support. He is such a happy/good looking/fun/funny guy, I hope he finds his path soon. He makes me happy!
I also cleaned out cupboards today in case we decide to put our house up for sale. One full of junk cupboard at a time!
I hope everyone else is doing better than I am. I am going to Georgia on the 21st, so I need to get back in the game and back to where I was pre Christmas.
Blessings and Happy Scales....Still thinking of Pattie:(
Darn sugar! I've had to throw stuff out to keep me from eating it as well. No matter how much we clean up our diet, I think there will always be some things that we just struggle being around no matter what. For me, it's Nutella.
ReplyDeleteKay, that's so great that you soaked the toffee and threw it away. I LOVE toffee and that would have been a hard one for me. At least the celebrations are over and hopefully we won't have so many temptations waved under our noses anymore. It's hard enough when there aren't all sorts of goodies sitting around calling are names.
ReplyDeleteSomething about driving long distances makes me really tired too, whether I'm the driver or not. I don't blame you for wanting to rest up.
I love when my kids can see things my way. So often they don't see the big picture and when they do it's such a relief. As for your daughter, sometimes a bit of distance is just the thing to bring two people closer.
Hope the sun is shining for you today!
Shake it off girl!! Today is a new day!!! I think we all have trigger foods that we cannot co exist with. For me, its Fritos. I LOVE them and have had this love affair since I was a child. Also, his cousin "Wavy Lays". Oh yes, its all in the family....I love him too but neither of them are welcome in my home because they bring out the worst in me. Kudos to you for pouring water in the baggie & ruining them. Great idea. Never thought of that one. I read your other post too where you said you were eating out of control. My advice is, restart with the next bite. You know what to do. I took my before & after pics from Dec 31st of 2010 and this past yr 2011 & formatted them side by side on a piece of paper including fron t & side views and I have it hanging on my fridge & in my office so in a weak moment I will have a visula reminder that what I looked like before is a place I never want to re visit. Do that too & post in on your fridge. I have found it is making me think twice about eating things I shouldnt.
ReplyDeleteHugs to you!!!
Sherri
Would it make you feel better to know I've been struggling w/ lays potato chips w/ sour cream!
ReplyDeleteI've done the water thing w/ baked goods-it's pretty effective.
...are you moving far away?
I too have a bad sweet tooth way more than the carbs. That's why you always see me eating something BFC sweet at least once or twice a day. If I don't do that - who knows what will happen.
ReplyDeleteYou are not alone. We all understand.
Have a great day :-)
Good luck with the junk (sugar and physical, LOL.) I don't know why sometimes it's easy to say no to that stuff, and other times it's not. Good for you and getting rid of that toffee, though! and good idea pouring water on it. I think I'd have to do old coffee grounds or something.
ReplyDeleteIt is a strong addiction too! Who knew? You look great Kay!
