What a difference a year makes!!!

Christmas Party 2011 vs 2012. What do you think?
I tried to find other pictures to compare, but I had cropped most of them. I had a piece of homemade toffee...yum...and a huge roll, but that was my splurge. Lot's of cookies, but a determination they weren't worth it. I have to say they make my mouth pucker like a lemon from how sweet they are.
This is my friend Pam. She has been heavy  her whole life and was recently diagnosed with Diabetes. She actually asked me about the BFC. I wish so bad that she would give it a try. I think it would help her attitude! she is kind of grumpy sometimes:(

Ladies, if you think it is going to take forever, it may take awhile...but it is so WORTH it! I feel empowered! Woot!!!
It is so exciting to read the blogs with all of the triumphs over temptation. We are all still hanging in  there, making good choices and taking responsibility for our treats. We are going to make it to January 1st and we won't have to make a resolution to lose weight, we are already doing it! Slow and steady....especially slow when the scale moves back up, but we have the tools and the friendships to keep on going!
Bedtime...It's 11:00 PM and I have a Zumba date in the morning!
Happy:)

  4. Ok Missy...one word..."WOW"! Just look at you!!! Truly, look at what can be done in a years time. YOu are living proof that it can be done and I am sure you were just thrilled to see teh pictures from the party.
As far as your friend goes, hopefully she will see that a better & more healthy life awaits her if she would lose the weight but sometimes, we just arent ready to face the music until we hit rock bottom. Its what happened to me. I couldnt take being in the 200s anymore.
I am getting ready to go to my work christmas party. I dont think the food will be a problem. The booze certainly wont.
Have a great night Skinnie Minnie!
Let me just say this...."Dahling, you look mahvelous...simply mahvelous!" (like Billy Crystal used to do)

  5. Kay, you are glowing in those photos. You look so happy and healthy. You must feel so proud of what you accomplished, and you have the photos to prove it. I was just thinking when you are thin, you can just smile and let the camera do it's job, instead of trying to get the best angle, or hide behind someone. That is the one thing that I realized I missed...taking a decent photo. I used to always look halfway decent in photos, but lately I don't like any of them. Well that is going to change. Hugs from me to you skinny minny!!!!
